DESCRIPTION:A five day workshop on the conservation and repair of stone walls in Kerikeri\, Northland. Day 1: Māori and European use of stone\, looking at stone field sites and early European pastoral farming. \nDay 2: Examination of three pre 1840 stone structures to look at stone type and building methodology. \nDay 3-5: Practical skill workshops of repairing and conserving stone walls with a master mason at Edmonds Ruins. \nCost: $400 for 5 days \nPlease bring field clothes\, boots\, rainwear.
