Despite some striking differences between the archaeological record of New Zealand and Australia\, we share the same historical roots as well as some key goals and priorities: the desire to make archaeology an inclusive and collaborative practice between archaeologists\, indigenous communities and other stakeholders\, to raise public awareness about the richness of the human past in the region\, to promote and foster cutting-edge research throughout Oceania and to lobby relevant authorities for the recognition and protection of cultural heritage. \nThis joint conference was a unique opportunity for both organizations to create dialogue around some of these similarities\, but also to highlight and contextualize differences\, and to learn from what each organization does exceptionally well.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1541722825686{margin-left: 0px !important;padding-right: 20px !important;padding-left: 0px !important;}”][vc_column css=”.vc_custom_1541722830992{margin-left: 0px !important;padding-right: 20px !important;padding-left: 0px !important;}”][vc_column_text] \nProgramme Outline\nDownload full conference programme >>[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1541722825686{margin-left: 0px !important;padding-right: 20px !important;padding-left: 0px !important;}”][vc_column width=”1/2″ css=”.vc_custom_1541722830992{margin-left: 0px !important;padding-right: 20px !important;padding-left: 0px !important;}”][vc_column_text] \nTue 27 November 2018\n\nIndigenous Archaeology Pre-conference Hui – read more>>\n\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text] \nThu 29 November 2018\n\nPapers – parallel sessions.\nTaylor and Francis workshop: Publishing in Academic Journals – read more>>\nNZAA and AAA AGMs in the evening.\n\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1541722825686{margin-left: 0px !important;padding-right: 20px !important;padding-left: 0px !important;}”][vc_column width=”1/2″ css=”.vc_custom_1541722830992{margin-left: 0px !important;padding-right: 20px !important;padding-left: 0px !important;}”][vc_column_text] \nWed 28 November 2018\n\nMihi and keynote\, then papers – parallel sessions.\nMeet the Graduates.\n\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text] \nFri 30 November 2018\n\nPapers – parallel sessions.\nTaylor and Francis workshop: How to Promote your Work – read more>>\nPoster session.\nConference dinner and after party.\n\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1541723713889{padding-top: 20px !important;}”][vc_column][vc_column_text] \nAcknowledgments\nWe gratefully acknowledge the support of the following sponsors:[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text] \nPrincipal Sponsor\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1541723713889{padding-top: 20px !important;}”][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”12170″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1541723713889{padding-top: 20px !important;}”][vc_column][vc_column_text] \nPlatinum Sponsors\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1535672825398{padding-bottom: 50px !important;}”][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”12071″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”12127″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”12194″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”12026″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1535672825398{padding-bottom: 50px !important;}”][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text] \nGold Sponsors\n[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”12197″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_single_image image=”12028″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_single_image image=”12029″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_single_image image=”12173″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text] \nSilver Sponsors\n[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”12030″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_single_image image=”12175″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text] \nBronze Sponsors\n[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”12073″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_single_image image=”12031″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_single_image image=”12198″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
