As part of the work NZAA does, we provide submissions on policies, plans and strategies advocating for archaeology, through organisations such as district councils, Heritage New Zealand and other government agencies. These submissions will now be shared here.
This submission was made to Auckland Council for their recently released draft Te Tāruke-ā-Tāwhiri: Auckland’s Climate Action Framework – and outlines some concerns about how the draft does not take into consideration the effects of climate change on Auckland’s archaeological sites.
