The New Zealand Archaeological Association is working to increase public awareness and highlight the importance of protecting our archaeological heritage by promoting the work of New Zealand archaeologists both at home and abroad.
This will be the fifth New Zealand Archaeology Week. The event has been able to develop and grow due to the wonderful effort and input from the archaeological community, heritage organisations and tangata whenua.
Archaeology Week is going ahead this year with in-person and online events.
Events are listed below, as well as on our NZAA Facebook page and Eventfinda.
If you have any content you’d like to share as part of the week, please get in touch with either Laura Dawson (email@example.com) or Patricia Pillay (firstname.lastname@example.org). Or share the content via your own social media, using the hashtag #NZArchaeologyWeek
