Préhistoire Pop-up Exhibition
Join us for a mesmerising display of early artistry, curated by world-leading archaeologist Jean-Michel Geneste as part of Archaeology Week 2024.
Through the lens of Jean-Michel’s expertise, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of our ancient ancestors and their way of life, journeying through millennia as you explore innovative research into Europe’s archaeological heritage.
Short films and projected images will demonstrate the use of Europe’s oldest artefacts and take you into the depths of the famous Chauvet-Pont d’Arc cave, where you’ll see Palaeolithic paintings of long-extinct animals and be transported to a time long gone.
Presented with the generous support of Pôle d’interprétation de la Préhistoire, Rup’art Productions and the French Embassy in New Zealand.
