This year, NZAA will be granting the Dave Robson Memorial Award in Recognition of Upcoming Kaihura Māori. This award is made biennially and will be awarded along with the other NZAA awards at this year’s conference dinner on Friday 5th July.
The recipient of the award will have the following traits:
· Demonstrated sustained commitment to the pursuit of Kaupapa Māori in archaeology and Kaihura Māori;
· Demonstrated a measurable contribution to Kaupapa Māori in the realm of Tautiaki Wāhi Taonga me Ngā Tapuwae o Ngā Tūpuna;
· Shown initiative and acumen as Kaihura Māori; and
· Displayed leadership attributes that are a source of inspiration.
To nominate a person for this award, please email your nomination to Amber Aranui (AmberA@tepapa.govt.nz) before 5pm on 28th June.
Senior members of Kaihura alongside the Robson Whānau will decide the recipient of the award.
