The first talk is from Matt Ryan, Adjunct Researcher at the School of Geography, Environment and earth Sciences, Victoria University of Wellington, who has done extensive research on soils and what that research tells us.
The second is from Bruce McFadgen, a Surveyor and Archaeologist, now with the School of Maori Studies Te Kawa a Maui, Victoria University of Wellington talking about earthquakes and tsunamis on the South West coast of the North Island, and their effect on Maori, and what they mean for present day coastal communities.
