In this illustrated presentation Eva Forster-Garbutt (PhD candidate at the Wellington School of Architecture) will take you on a journey through the fascinating practice of buildings archaeology, which involves archaeologists investigating and recording buildings. She will provide some background to this field from overseas, before exploring the development of buildings archaeology in New Zealand, and the insights gained from the study of our pre-1900 buildings.
