Join the Mercury Bay Library and Mercury Bay Museum as we learn to excavate, sift, sort and recreate like an archaeologist. Archaeologists learn a lot from pottery fragments found in sites. Shape, material and decoration can reveal a vessels construction, function and age! Join us to ‘dig up’ a pot and see if you can recreate it and learn what it was used for.
You will also be able to create your own pot to take home.
Suitable for Ages 5-15
Free event, no booking required
