The Changing Face of Archaeology: application of technology to the Ahuahu Great Mercury Island Archaeological Project

To celebrate Archaeology Week 1-7 April Louise Furey, Curator of Archaeology at Auckland Museum, and colleagues from the University of Auckland will be giving a talk on the Ahuahu Great Mercury Island Archaeological Project.  The Project Team is in the 6^th year of investigating the Maori history of Ahuahu. We will outline the results from some of the different types of sites we have excavated.

The research is a partnership between the University of Auckland School of Social Sciences and Auckland Museum, Ngati Hei and landowners Sir Michael Fay and David Richwhite.
