Hear Professor Richard Walter, archaeologist, discuss the first settlement of the Waitaki District. This talk follows the talk Professor Walter gave for Archaeology Week last year on the colonisation of Aotearoa. This year the focus is on understanding how the local sites relate to that bigger history. Professor Walter is currently researching the Willetts’ collection at the Museum. This talk is part of New Zealand Archaeology Week 2018.
