Join archaeologists from Underground Overground Archaeology for a walking tour of historic Lyttelton! We will be visiting some of the significant and interesting archaeological sites we have worked on within the town. Along the way you will hear how a pier helped open Canterbury to the world, learn about the impact of fire on 19th century Lyttelton, and be regaled with tales from the Lyttelton Gaol.
Walking tour begins at Sutton Reserve (corner of Sutton Quay and Norwich Quay).
There are two tours.
