AIMA NAS Part 1 (two-day training course)
An introduction to maritime archaeology that includes at least 4 hours of classroom work in addition to practical work underwater and/or on land.
A 2-day course to introduce the methods and procedures used in maritime archaeology, as well as to promote maritime heritage preservation in New Zealand. The course is taught by two leading New Zealand maritime archaeologists. On completion, students are awarded an AIMA/NAS certificate which is internationally recognised.
