The work of archaeologists in Murihiku largely goes unnoticed. Presenters will provide insight into Southland’s past not found in books. Be fascinated by eroding coastal archaeology, patterns of Māori settlement, early settlers and whalers, early family homes, the Mokomoko waka conservation at the museum, and more. Followed by afternoon tea.
