Stone tool demonstration: Stone artefacts (lithics) have been used by people all over the world, with the earliest forms dating to around 3,000,000 years ago. In New Zealand, the first communities skillfully manufactured available stone resources into durable tool forms for use. In this workshop, we will learn how to manufacture different stone tool forms, investigate their use and better understand their role in the context of New Zealand.
