As part of New Zealand Archaeology Week, join local archaeologist and conservator Brigid Gallagher and Tuapiro Marae representative on a hikoi around this defended pā that sits hidden in plain view next to SH2, Tahawai. Good footwear and reasonable balance is recommended. An unformed track is part of the tour.
Entrance by koha, cup of tea provided.
Meet at the old tennis courts at the corner of SH2 and Tanners Point Reserve for a 10.30am start.
Park in the gate off the road please.
