Nau mai, haere mai ki Te Wharewaka o Pōneke!

Wellington’s rich and diverse Māori history will be uncovered as you join us on our Te Aro Pā – Hidden Maori Treasure Cultural Walking Tour during Archaeology Week. Discover intriguing secrets about the city we love and view the archaeological remains of two whareponga (houses) at Te Aro Pā. You will be given a unique opportunity to hear stories of the people who lived at Te Aro Pā and their journey to Wellington. Our tour includes exclusive access to our third whareponga not open the public.
