DUE TO THE BAD WEATHER FORECAST THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED. 

A guided tour of Whitianga Pa -including a general history of the pa and the relevance to Capt James Cook. Followed by Ferry Landing Stone Wharf and old mill site (further details to come).

Meet at Ferry Landing Stone Wharf, Whitianga Cost of going – Gold coin donation to Museum to cover printing of information leaflet

Restrictions

As the Pa is on top of Whitianga Rock – attendees will need to be fit to climb. However, Brenda will have additional info for those who can’t climb and they can stay and look at the Wharf.  No limits on numbers but if travelling from Whitianga will need to pay for own Ferry ticket.
Weather – if the weather is not good – cancellation will occur on the morning and will be posted on Facebook page

Event will be publicized on the Mercury Bay Museum Facebook page and not the website.
